Join me in the cutting garden for a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you'll learn how to take and grow your own green dahlia cuttings. This workshop will begin at 10.30am and run for approximately 1.5 hours.
We'll begin with a guided garden tour, discussing how I set up my patch and how I grow and care for them. You'll then move into a practical propagation session, where you'll learn step-by-step how to take and care for your own cuttings.
Each participant will take home:
- Two fresh cuttings that you'll prepare on the day (these will be taken from whatever varieties are ready for cuttings to be taken at the time)
- Printed notes with propagation and aftercare tips
A small selection of rooted cuttings will be available to purchase on the day at a special discounted price for workshop attendees.
Light refreshments and all materials are included. Numbers are capped at 10 participants per workshop to keep the session small, personal and hands-on.
Garden Tour and Dahlia Propagation Workshop - November 2025 (date tba)
Dress comfortably for time spent outdoors in the garden - closed shoes and a hat are recommended.
The workshop will go ahead in good weather - please bring a jacket or raincoat if it looks like light rain or cold weather.
All tools, materials and some snacks / bottled water will be provided. If you would like coffee, we recommend grabbing a takeout from one of the cafes in town before the workshop starts.
You'll be working hands-on with plants and soil so don't wear your best clothes!
The session will be relaxed, friendly and limited in numbers (max 10 participants) to allow plenty of one-on-one guidance.
Workshops will run with a minimum of 5 participants. If minimum numbers are not met a full refund or change of date (if applicable) will be offered.
Cancellations more than 7 days before the workshop will receive a full refund.
Cancellations within 7 days of the workshops are non-refundable.
Transfers - you may transfer your booking to another participant at any time - simply let us know in advance.
If the workshop is cancelled due to extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances all participants will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
If you are feeling unwell, have cold or flu symptoms, or have been in contact with anyone unwell please do not attend. In this case we are happy to offer a transfer of your booking to another participant or reschedule your spot for a future workshop (additional fees may apply depending on the cost of the alternate workshop).
This ensures that everyone can enjoy the workshop safely and comfortably.
